Liza Lester is an intern at The Sacramento Bee, sponsored by the American Association for the Advancement of Science’s Mass Media Science & Engineering Fellows program.
She completed a doctorate in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Washington and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in 2009.
Liza edits stories, essays and articles for Ground Truth Trekking, a locus of on-the-ground information about Alaska’s natural resources and the interests competing for their use, and microBEnet, a network of microbiologists and building scientists combining forces to study the ecology of human-constructed spaces.
She also writes for Inky Fresh Press.
